What your warranty actually covers
Two different things get called “the warranty,” so here is the plain version.
The manufacturer warranty covers the materials, and it comes from Owens Corning, not from us. Because we are Platinum Preferred, a qualifying Owens Corning roof can carry their limited-lifetime coverage, including workmanship terms most contractors cannot offer.
Our workmanship warranty covers the installation itself. That is on us.
You get the specific terms in writing, on your estimate, before you sign anything. If a term does not apply to your roof, we will tell you that instead of letting you find out later.
Need documentation for insurance or a closing?
If your carrier is asking for a roof certification at renewal, or you need a signed report for a closing or a purchase, that is a paid, documented inspection report. On average it runs $250 for a single-story home and $350 for a two-story. It covers a visual inspection of the exterior roof. Water testing and more involved inspections have to be looked at in person, since access and other factors decide what is possible.
A repair or replacement estimate is still free.
